This new adventure began by creating the first pieces from "vintage" jewelry. In other words, I took old pieces, some of them family heirlooms, and made them into new creations. I gave them to family and friends and those pieces have now been affectionately dubbed as "Early Joanne’s". When I attempted to get some of them back to restring into a more professionally done piece, it became evident that they were cherished the way they were. I then realized that I had found the answer and the outlet for which I was searching.

Over the years I have attended many jewelry classes and have worked with my friends to learn ways to keep my jewelry designs fresh and exciting. Finding unique focal beads, unusual colors and rare stones keep my designs "one of a kind". I also will take pieces that have sentimental value to clients and redesign them. Jewelry designing has become a wonderful passion.
