Originally from the Plymouth, Massachusetts, area (you can't miss the accent), Marcia made her way across the United States. Her journey brought her to Whidbey Island, Washington, where she says, “the gypsy in me can finally rest.”
Marcia has always had an artistic bent and she has found her true calling in designing unique and functional pottery. Marcia founded Pilgrimage Pottery in 2010 when she was recovering from an injury. Looking for a hobby while going through rehabilitation, she began taking classes in throwing pottery. This opportunity led to her creating distinctive, one-of-a-kind, hand-thrown mugs, bowls, platters, pots, and vases.
These rustic pieces have an antique look and feel, yet they are perfect for everyday use. You will enjoy her unique design details, rich glazes, and exceptional blend of form, color, and function.
Marcia's pottery is made from all-natural materials, including porcelain, stoneware, and paper-clay. These materials, as well as the glazes, are lead-free and food-safe. All of her pottery can be safely used in the microwave, oven, or dishwasher.
