Artist Bio
My study of fine art began after raising five daughters, followed closely with the deep loss of my husband from terminal cancer. Driven by this experience I dug into my art - finding comfort, and expression through the creative process. As a lifelong resident of Washington state, and fifteen-year resident of Whidbey Island, I use inspiration from the beautiful world where I live. I'll paint a pastoral landscape, a rusty truck, or a detailed architectural feature- whatever sparks inspiration. My aim is capturing the changing world through light and color, primarily using oil paint and/or pastels, to provide a glimpse of my perceived reality. I have shown pieces at the Guilded Gallery, Stanwood, WA and Whidbey Art Collaborative, Langley, WA and have been a member of the Greater Marysville Artists Guild, Marysville, WA.
