Lisa Albrecht & Rich Turpin - Retired Life
Wood and Rock ArtistryBackground:
Rich and Lisa spent 25+ years serving their country. After retiring, they decided to indulge in their artistic side. Rich had been designing wood projects for years. Lisa took a wood-turning class and never looked back. They were then introduced to the world of rock hounding in 2016 and fell in love with mother nature's gifts in the form of both wood and rocks. They now spend their days in their wood shop, at the rock shop, or traveling around the US visiting friends and family with lots of side trips for rock hounding. Artist Statement:
Our passion is creating with wood and rocks. We love the feel, textures and character of wood, as well as the smell of wood when it is turned and sanded. As our interests grow, our work is becoming more ambitious. We enjoy the challenge of releasing the hidden treasure within the heart of a tree or rock. Beauty, balance, finish and functionality drive our direction and imagination. |
