Kelsea Donnell

Fused Glass Jewelry

Picture

Kelsea Donnell enjoys creating beautiful glass pendants from broken shards. Her father, Clark Donnell, blows glass and makes large bowls, vases, and platters. Sometimes the large pieces crack, break, or fall on the floor and end up in the garbage. Kelsea cleans these  broken shards from the floor of the hot shop and then cuts and shapes  them into  unique designs and shapes for jewelry. She puts them in the kiln and fires  them for  about 12 hours. Kelsea says, "It's always exciting to open the kiln in the morning and see the  beautiful results."
