Artist Bio and Statement:
Marsinah Pocock was born in Spokane, WA. She studied Music at WSU and was drawn to beading early. Her beading ambition continued throughout her life…through her master’s degree, the birth of her two children and various moves to different cities and jobs.
Throughout all of that, beading always stuck with her. Now beading is her primary calling.
Marsinah's mission is to create unique handcrafted jewelry and accessories that touches each person individually. She creates eclectic fun jewelry, often using creatures and materials from the natural world. She does her best to utilize materials that are naturally sourced. She also specializes in semi-precious stones and other natural materials; including bone, wood, velvet, silver and wool.
Marsinah teaches private classes, repairs some jewelry, and does custom work and also works with wedding parties or proms, etc. to create that perfect look.
