Photography & Jewelry
Artist Statement:
"My faith, my family and my love for art and Photography are what keeps me focused in life"
Biography:
I am a self taught artist/photographer, and love capturing the beauty Whidbey Island and the Pacific Northwest have to offer. I have had the pleasure of calling Whidbey Island my home for the past 37 years and have also been blessed to travel to so many amazing national parks on the west coast.
My love of photography can be seen in the colorful and bold scenes I have captured. "Sunrises and Sunsets" are my favorites and Whidbey Island certainly never disappoints. Some of my other interests are painting in watercolors, acrylics and oils, each have their own unique style.
Art runs in our family, all my children and grandchildren love drawing, painting and being creative in the arts in one form or another.
So very blessed to be able to share my photography at Garry Oak Gallery, and you can also find more of my artwork at:

In experimenting with the "dutch pour" painting technique, I discovered making unique jewelry. This process is so much fun on canvas, so when I wasn't happy with how a painting turned out, well you guessed it - I recycled the canvas. I punched a large hole for the pendant and two smaller ones for the earrings. Being careful to choose as close as I possibly could to match the set. My jewelry was born!
When you use this technique, the different colored paint on the canvas "creates" it's own abstract design, which when captured in smaller sizes will create amazing jewelry - one of a kind results. I am very honored to be able to display and sell these at Garry Oak Gallery, as well as my hand painted wooden earrings and beautiful PNW photography. Cheers!
